If Brady does actually hang 'em up, it would come a few years before his often-stated goal of playing till he's 45. Brady will be 42 by the start of next season. But according to reports, those close to Brady, say that it is — indeed — a joke.

The six-time Super Bowl winner will enter his 20th season (all with the Patriots) in 2019.
