NOIDA: Two months after Manoj Pant, the SHO of Sector 20 police station, along with three journalists were arrested for taking a Rs 8 lakh bribe from a fake call centre owner, Noida police nabbed his agent Jitendra (30) on Sunday.

The accused, who was absconding since January 29, allegedly used to extort money from people in the SHO’s name. Police said that Jitendra was working as a journalist at a local crime news website.

Police raided Jitender’s house in New Delhi on Sunday. They alleged that he ran an extortion nexus and brought deals to the SHO. Cops said the SHO always sent him to crack deals.
