Mumbai: Fancied Tata Sports Club stormed into the semifinals by recording an easy 61-run victory over Repro SC in a quarter-final, of the 10th RCF T20 Cricket Tournament for the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Cup, at the RCF Colony ground, Chembur here on Monday. Repro SC were restricted to 126 for 9, and in reply to Tata’s mammoth score of 187 for four.
Repro after electing to field first, found the going tough as the Tata’s opening pair of Kaustubh Pawar 45 along with Sufiyan Shaikh (47) provided a good start for them, as they put on 72 runs for the first wicket. Tatas went on set a healthy total of 187 for the loss of nine wickets. Later, Tata’s spin combination of Chirag Khurana (4-20) and Aditya Dhumal (3-33) cut short Repro innings as they fell short by 61 runs.

Community Football Club of India (CFCI) snatched a narrow 2-1 win over spirited GM Sports Club in an Elite Division match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League, at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra here on Monday.

Selection trials
The selection trials for boys for the five-team Mitsui Shoji T20 league will be held on April 5 at Oval Maidan, opposite Mumbai University from 9.30 a.m onwards.
