LG has introduced a new smartphone under its K-series, dubbed as LG K12+ in Brazil. The handset is essentially a better version of LG K40 smartphone that the company had unveiled ahead of MWC 2019 in February. To start with, the LG K12+ comes with AI-powered cameras that can adjust image quality settings based on subjects such as humans, animals, and food. The front camera of the phone also supports portrait mode for selfies with blurred background.
LG K12+ price, availability
The LG K12+ price has been set at BRL 1,199 that roughly translates to Rs 21,200 in the Indian currency. The phone comes in three shades: Moroccan Blue, Platinum Gray, and Black. There have been no words on the handset’s availability on markets outside Brazil such as India at the moment.

Talking about the specifications, the LG K12+ ships with a 5.7-inch display that bears HD+ (720 x 1,440p) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone comes pre-loaded with a rather dated Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box to take care of the software side of things. Under the hood, the LG K12+ houses an entry-level MediaTek’s Helio P22 SoC paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB user expandable storage (up to 2TB via microSD card).
For photography, the LG K12+ flaunts a 16-megapixel primary camera with f/2.0 lens and an LED flash. The camera is backed by HDR and has Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF). The front camera of the handset gets an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. Other features include a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, 3,000mAh battery, and connectivity options such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB port. Lastly, the phone measures 153.0×71.9×8.3mm.
