This year it will be centred on the theme of Changemakers where tourism leaders will be celebrating 500th anniversary of the departure of the first circumnavigation of the world from Seville.
The Global Summit is held in different city around the world every by WTTC, the global private sector of tourism.
Between April 2nd and 4th the 2019 WTTC Global Summit will be hosted by the World Travel & Tourism Council Global Summit.
Gloria Guevara, president, WTTC, said that the WTTC Global Summit will be the most important tourism event of 2019 and fitting recognition of a sector which contributed 10.4 per cent to global GDP last year.It supported 319 million jobs across the world in 2019.
She went on saying that a record number of delegates along with the private-sector leaders, government delegations from around the world will define and shape the future of the sector recognizing the ideas that will make it happen.
Seville, Andalucia and Spain will take the global tourism spotlight.
Their delegates together control hundreds of billions of euros of investment and those willing to know about the future of the sector should visit the WTTC Global Summit.
WTTC has a history of 25 years of research to quantify the economic impact of the sector in 185 countries.Tourism contributes US$8.8 trillion or 10.4 per cent of global GDP, and accounts for 319 million jobs or one in ten of all jobs on the planet.
