A concealer is on every makeup lover’s ‘things I’d take to an island’ list, and rightly so. “Just like with your foundation, get your shade right—always go a shade darker. And always remember to keep your foundation and concealer both silicon-based or oil-based, otherwise the concealer and foundation will separate.”– FH

“Always use an under-eye cream before applying concealer.”– AC

“Concealer wakes up the face and makes everything seem brighter and more alive. Make sure you apply your concealer in a patting motion, then press it in with a concealer brush or a Beautyblender. But don’t smear or drag it! This will keep your concealer from caking and creasing.
