New waiting rooms to come up at rly station
TNN | Apr 1, 2019, 07:32 ISTLudhiana: Railway authorities are busy preparing a plan for increasing the seating capacity of waiting rooms at city railway station.
Sources said, “Railways has contacted some professional architect to construct new waiting rooms and they will prepare the final proposal for the same to send to higher authorities for sanction. Moreover, the engineering department officials have received some construction material from the northern railway board which will be used in construction work of the waiting rooms.”
Ludhiana railway station director, Abhinav Singla, said, “Development plans are already under way to increase the seating capacity of the waiting rooms.”
Meanwhile, Rajwinder Kaur, who was waiting for Shan-e- Punjab Express said, “Railways should renovate entire city railway station as it has not seen any major development plan from past forty years.”
