Overs 8: KXIP 65/3
Good start by medium pacer Harshal Patel, conceded just seven runs including five wides.

Overs 7.1: OUT! Mayank Agarwal run out for 6. KXIP 58/3
Direct hit from Shikhar Dhawan sent Mayank Agarwal back to the pavilion. Agarwal was backing up Sarfaraz Khan too much at the non-striker's end, and was left stranded when the ball went straight to Dhawan at mid-off.

Overs 7: KXIP 58/2
Tidy over from Sandeep Lamichhane, gave away just four singles in it.

Overs 6: KXIP 54/2
End of Powerplay overs. Sarfaraz Khan (15*) hit back-to-back fours off Chris Morris to score 10 runs in the over.

* Sarfaraz Khan (14*) hits back-to-back fours to bring up 50 for Kings XI Punjab in 5.3 overs

Overs 5: KXIP 44/2
Sarfaraz Khan hit Kagiso Rabada for a four as the hosts scored seven runs in the over.

Overs 4: KXIP 37/2
Another 10-run over, but a successful one for Delhi Capitals. Kings XI Punjab lost their openers early in the innings.

Overs 3.5: OUT! Lamichhane gets rid of Curran. KXIP 36/2
Another big wicket for the visitors. Spinner Sandeep Lamichhane struck in his first over to remove Sam Curran, a ball after the Englishman hit him for a six. Curran hit a six and three fours to score 20 off 10 balls.

Overs 3: KXIP 27/1
12 RUNS!
Sam Curran (12*), who replaced Chris Gayle in the playing XI tonight, smacked Avesh Khan for three fours in the over.

Overs 2: KXIP 15/1
10 RUNS!
KL Rahul hit a four and a six in the over, but Chris Morris had the last laugh.

Overs 1.5: OUT! Morris scalps Rahul early. KXIP 15/1
Massive wicket. KL Rahul was in his aggressive best early in the innings, hitting a six and two fours for his 11-ball 15 knock. Rahul took the DRS against the umpires call of LBW, but the ball traker showed that it clipped the leg stump. Umpire's call was taken, and Kings XI Punjab keep their referral. Chris Morris gave an early breakthrough for the visitors.

Overs 1.4: SIX! KL Rahul hooks it over fine leg off Chris Morris for first maximum of the innings. KXIP 15/0

Over 1: KXIP 5/0
Five runs came from the first over of pacer Kagiso Rabada

Over 0.3: FOUR! KL Rahul opens the account with a boundary. KXIP 4/0

Here we go... KL Rahul and Sam Curran to start the Kings XI Punjab innings. Kagiso Rabada with the ball for Delhi Capitals

Shreyas Iyer: "The game (super over) went too far that night, but the guys are very excited after winning that game. We are going to bowl first. Looking at the wicket, it looks invariably constant. We had a net here yesterday. It was a good wicket to bat on, and the boys are energetic. Avesh Khan comes in for Amit Mishra. Rabada being the leader of the attack, and bowling that super over was fantastic. Sandeep Lamichhanne was amazing last time, bowling two powerplay overs for us as well."

Ravichandran Ashwin: "It's about getting used to a particular ground, like the wind direction etc. If you've played in a venue before you know that the small things matter big. We have punched well as a unit, and I'm pretty pleased with how it is going at the moment. If you go at 10 an over in the slog (last 4 overs), you would take it any day as a captain."

Pitch Report

"The pitch has been a good one. Sprinkling of live grass, which will assist some pace. There is a disparity in the boundary sizes - and that'll work in the favour of Chris Gayle. They've got to bowl short at him. The Capitals have Rabada, one of the quickest - they have to make Gayle hit Rabada into the bigger side and into the wind. Mix of the short one and the yorker. Don't let Gayle stay there for 15-16 overs." - Ian Bishop
