Rahul Gandhi will help Congress to bag maximum seats in South India, says Chennithala

ALAPPUZHA: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala has said that with Rahul Gandhi is becoming the UDF candidate in Wayanad, the victory of Congress is not only sure in entire Kerala but also in all the southern Indian states.
Speaking to newsmen here on Sunday, Chennithala said that they are expressing their gratitude to Rahul as he accepted the request of Congress state leaders to contest from Wayanad.

``Both UDF and Congress are accepting the challenge of chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who claimed that LDF will defeat Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in Wayanad. Opposition leader asked is Pinarayi Vijayan having the courage to defeat Rahul Gandhi in Wayanad. The aim of the candidature of Rahul Gandhi from Wayanad is to bag maximum seats from South Indian states. The arrival of Rahul Gandhi will also pave the way for the victory of Congress in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu,’’ he said.

Criticizing the statements of Pinarayi against Rahul’s candidature, Chennithala said that the chief minister, who smelt the failure has panicked with declaring Rahul Gandhi’s arrival to Wayanad. `` BJP is the main opponent of Congress at national level when state level, it is CPM in the place of BJP. It is first time a candidate for the prime ministerial post contesting from Kerala. So Kerala and Wayanad will become main centre of attraction in national politics in this ensuing Lok Sabha polls. The candidature of Rahul Gandhi, who is fighting for Dalits, Adivasis and against farmers suicide, will bring sea of change in Wayanad,’’ Chennithala said.
