New Delhi, Strongly reacting over Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s comments that the Congress will scrap the NITI Aayog if his party comes to power, Union Minister and senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said on Saturday when the Congress was in power, ‘anarchy and arrogance of the feudal family’ was at its peak in ‘criminal misuse’ of constitutional institutions and now in Opposition, they are threatening and defaming the same.
‘Shahjada is speaking under influence of his arrogance of feudal mentality,” Mr Naqvi told reporters here.
Mr Naqvi said that for the last five years, the Congress has tried to threaten and defame various constitutional institutions such as the Election Commission, the CVC and now the NITI Aayog. He said that ‘Shahjada and Shahjadi, when out of power, are behaving like a fish out of water. They think that power is their birth right.’
But the people of the country will teach them a lesson in the Lok Sabha elections, he added.
Mr Gandhi has said if voted to power, they will scrap the NITI Aayog. ‘It has served no purpose other than making marketing presentations for the PM & fudging data. We will replace it with a lean Planning Commission whose members will be renowned economists & experts with less than 100 staff,’ he tweeted.
