Flash floods kill 19 people in Afghanistan

Three days of floods across three provinces in have left 19 people dead while more than 20 have been injured.

The provinces of Herat, Badghis, and Faryab have been affected by the floods, which started on Thursday.

Scores of people have been reported missing while hundreds of houses and agricultural land have been destroyed, according to TOLOnews.

"The consequences of the catastrophic are numerous. Around 200 houses only in one residential area completely or proportionally have been destroyed," the in Herat, said. "floods took away everything I had. I lost everything," Nasima, a resident of told TOLOnews.
