Weapons seized from homes of accused involved in clash

Rajkot: After arresting 11 persons for their alleged involvement in a group clash in Bhuj, police swung into action and recovered a large number of arms and weapons after carrying out search operations at the residences of the accused.

“From the residence of Mujahid Hingorja at Azadnagar near Salfia mosque, we confiscated four swords, one scythe, two axes and 10 knives, while we got three knives, one scythe and one air gun from the house of Alimamad Bafan,” said an official from Bhuj B division police station.


“As both the accused have flouted notification about the prohibition of arms, they have been booked under section 135 of Gujarat Police Act,” the official added.
