The AIADMK candidate for Krishnagiri Lok Sabha Assembly was someone discarded by Jayalalithaa and that is the candidate that is being thrust upon the people of the district, said the DMK leader M.K. Stalin, speaking at a public meeting here on Saturday.

Taking a hit at the AIADMK candidate K.P. Munusamy for Krishnagiri Lok Sabha constituency, Mr. Stalin said, he was famously called “6% Munusamy” in the AIADMK circles. He was also thrown out of the ministry by Jayalalithaa.

Introducing the Congress candidate for Krishnagiri R. Chellakumar and the DMK candidate for Hosur Assembly constituency S.R. Sathya, Mr. Stalin said the AIADMK leaders had chosen to give seat to a man, who was discarded by their own leader.

Stating that everything about the government was ‘rotten’, Mr. Stalin referring to the reports of spoilt blood allegedly given to pregnant women for blood transfusion, said Health Minister Vijaya Bhaskar “only had time to sell gutka, and hobnob with the gutka lobby.” With a Minister like him, this would be the state of government hospitals. It is with this gutka lobby that the BJP and the PMK have chosen to align, the DMK leader said.

As part of the election promise, the DMK leader assured that the faults in the Hogenakkal drinking water distribution system will be set right within three months of his party coming to power.

Stating that the coming elections were critical in determining the fate of the country and the State, Mr. Stalin urged the public to vote for the Congress and the DMK to rewrite the fate of the people.
