Tirupur: Rs 3.5 lakh robbed from a knitwear unit manager

TIRUPUR: Two unidentified bike-borne criminals snatched a bag containing Rs 3.5 lakh from a manager of a knitwear unit in Tamil Nadu's Tirupur on Saturday.
S Venkatachalam, the complainant, had withdrew the money from a nationalised bank on Palladam road. He was heading towards another bank near Old Bus Stand on a motor-bike when two men came on a bike. The criminals snatched the bag from him and fled from the spot. Tirupur south police have registered a case in this regard and investigations are on.
