Six arrested for betting on cricket match in Bhavnagar
tnn | Mar 31, 2019, 04:46 ISTRajkot: Six persons were arrested for allegedly betting on the ongoing 20-20 Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 cricket match from Haridarshan Factory in Gariadhar of Bhavnagar district on Saturday.
The accused were found exchanging money as bets on the match between Sunrise Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals.
The accused were identified as Harun Dhodhari (35), Pankaj Dhudhrajia (23), Aslam Gaha (22), Idris Matari (36), Jitu Dholakia (20) and Tausif Pathan (29).
“We have recovered Rs 25,100 cash, five cellphones and a notebook meant to maintain accounts of the betting placed from the accused,” said an official from Gariadhar police station.
The accused were found exchanging money as bets on the match between Sunrise Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals.
