Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan, who is contesting for the Assembly from Gajuwaka, on Saturday released a 64-point manifesto separately for the constituency. Along with Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha candidate V.V. Lakshminarayana, he conducted a road show at Gajuwaka in the evening.
Mr. Kalyan said he would take up the responsibility of providing compensation as per Land Acquisition Act 2013, to the farmers who were displaced at the time of setting up the steel plant. The JSP would set up ‘Bidda Samrakshana Kendram’ to benefit working women.
A training centre for competitive examinations at Gajuwaka, a school for special children, ‘Aadarana Aalayam’ for senior citizens in every division, separate scrap-yards for workers, regularised parking cells for auto-drivers, sorting out issues related to the dumping yard, a cell to help youth going abroad for employment, measures to improve Duvvada railway station and halts for important trains have also been promised.
The party would take steps to fill all the three lakh government jobs in just six months, if the party came to power, he said. The road show which started from Agnampudi junction covered Rajeev Nagar, Duvvada, Vadlapudi, Thunglam, Nathayyapalem, Sheela Nagar, Akkireddipalem and Mindi.
Rents house
With the election fast approaching, to know better about the local problems and intensify the campaign, the JSP president rented a house at Karnavanipalem near Y-Junction.
It will also help him keep a close eye on the issues in North Andhra districts, party sources said.
