Class X students wrap up exams with not-easy, not-tough social science
TNN | Mar 30, 2019, 07:02 ISTLudhiana: Students of Class X had their last exam, social sciences, on Friday. But unfortunately, too many tricky questions have spoilt the party for the students.
Tamanpreet, a student of Class X of BCM School, Shastri Nagar, said, “The paper was a bit tricky. All the five-mark questions were twisted. In general though the paper was fine.”
Another worried student, Karan Bhattal, said, “All the one-mark questions were fine, but lengthy questions and the direct-statement questions were tricky. One needed to think a lot before answering. Set III was difficult in comparison with all other sets. History map was easier than the geography one. Overall, the exam was lengthy. For an average student, it is difficult to achieve 95 plus.”
Harpreet Chauhan, a social science teacher, said, “The exam was not easy for an average student. I was told that they couldn’t really understand the questions.”
The good news is: Class X students wrap up their year-long preparation. Most, of course, want to chill after a long while, but some still could not believe that it has finally come to an end. What next is looming large for some.
Meanwhile, Class XII psychology students had a tough ride too, but the students said they were able to complete the paper on time. Navya Bindra, a Class XII student, said, “Pyschology paper was not tough, but tricky. One would have to read between the lines to get the meaning of question. I felt I couldn’t give my best and the paper was relatively difficult than the sample paper.”
Navpreet Bhattal, a psychology teacher, said, “The exam was not that easy but nor was it difficult. In psychology, students have to solve two to three pages long answers. The exam was extremely lengthy.”
