ALLAHABAD: Family members of a lady patient, admitted in a private nursing home at Naini area of the city, created ruckus after the woman and her newborn baby died minutes after the delivery. An FIR in this connection has been lodged at Naini police station and the nursing home has been sealed by the administration.
According to reports, one Sudha Singh, aged 28 and resident of Amilya village of Ghurpur was admitted at a private nursing home of Mama-Bhanja area of Naini. The woman delivered the baby on Saturday but soon after the delivery, both the mother and her newborn died.
Soon, the family members created rucks and also staged a road blockade because of which traffic movement was affected for few hours.
CO Karchana, Sachidanand said, “On receiving the information we reached the nursing home and managed to pursue the family members to remove the road blockade and an FIR against the nursing home owners have been registered”.
The additional Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr Satyen Rai was also called by the district administration and after his probe, the authorities have sealed the nursing home.
“On reaching the nursing home we found no one as all have fled the scene, there were neither doctors nor ward boys, nursing assistant etc and as there was no one to answer our queries, we have sealed the nursing home”, said Dr Rai. The nursing home is registered that much we were able to trace in our records and the rest of the proceedings would follow, he added.
Meanwhile, the police, along with district administration of Karchana block and CRPF personnel took out an ‘area domination’ exercise at Naini, covering the market and residential area from Mama-bhanja talab to Badra market of Naini. The team comprised of SDM Karchana Ratna Priya, deputy commandant of CRPF Parvindra Kaur and CO karchana Sachidanand along with police and CRPF personnel.
