Doctors say CBD products may be falsely marketed

That cbd products will soon be hitting the shelves at walgreens.

Cannabidiol or c- b-d products have been in the news lately --- with major retailers like walgreens and cvs jumping on the bandwagon.

But they're actyually late to the game... because people have been using the products for years.

One person i spoke with says his friends rave about it.

Nick peterson: "they'll use it for stress reduction.

They will take it and use it to sleep better" emma jerome: "supporters of cbd call it a cure all.

A miracle drug that can help with anxiety... pain... even acne.

But pepole i spoke with say that all sounds too good to be true" connor doll: "it would be something that if i were wanting to use i wouldn't want to be ignorant using it.

What are the benefits... what are the possible side effects?"

Rich oxley says he has used cbd topicals for arthritis and he did find some relief, but he also sees this as being more about marketing than medicine.

Rich oxley "everyone wants to get into the market to make money so that's why it's proliferated it's like wow& where does it stop you know?"

Most people think that cbd products don't contain thc.

But dr eric geisler says he wouldn't trust the manufacturer's label eric geisler: "it is nearly impossible to extract thc from cbd products.

It's very difficult to do chemically, its very hard to do consistently" he also says it's definitely*not a miracle potion.

Dr eric geisler: "there's very little research that it's effective for anything other than pain.

Even for pain the research there is early" the sentencing
