New Delhi: Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday tweeted to “employ lakhs of rural youth in our gram sabhas to improve the environment” as also “repair & restore our water bodies.” He said India needs to restore water bodies as also “regenerate and afforest wasteland and degraded land” with the help of the rural youth. In a separate tweet, Congress chief spokesman Randeep Singh Surjewala noted that the Modi Government has borrowed Rs 7.1 lakh crore this fiscal and another Rs 4.42 lakh crore just for first half of the financial year 2019-20 from April 1. Pointing out that the Modi government will be borrowing Rs 17,000 crore every month, he said it would totally empty the government treasury before going to give a solid blow to the economy with the fiscal deficit.
