City Council Voted against City Hall Proposal

Normal.

New information this morning -- huntsville city council voted against a proposal for rennovating the current city hall building..

That made that decision after 11 oclock last night in a meeting that lasted hours.

Take live: this building has been standing for nearly six decades now and renovations will not be coming to city hall.

Take vo: council member bill kling argued the building is quote "no longer adequate to serve the needs of the city of huntsville."

Kling proposed a new city hall be built and the current building would be restored as an expansion of big spring park that the public can enjoy.

Right now the city hall is located on fountain circle but one of the proposed new locations would be down the street at the city's "garage a" parking lot.

The council voted down kling's proposal in a meeting that did not end up past
