Former Bosasa chief operating officer turned whistleblower, Angelo Agrizzi has made a return to the Zondo commission of inquiry to continue his testimony.

REVEALED: The ANC MP who arranged justice minister's 'Watson house'

The unnamed MP who organised accommodation for Justice Minister Michael Masutha in Port Elizabeth where he was approached by former Bosasa CEO Gavin Watson in 2016 is National Assembly House Chairperson for Committees, Cedric Frolick.

Masutha, in response to a question from DA MP Glynnis Breytenbach, told the justice portfolio committee on Wednesday that he had met Watson once while staying over in Port Elizabeth to attend an ANC Siyanqoba election rally in July 2016.

He described how he had trouble finding accommodation ahead of the event, and was eventually assisted by a "colleague MP" who secured the house for the weekend.

R40 000 would be delivered monthly to Frolick, it was standard procedure Agrizzi says. Money would be delivered to PE.

Agrizzi questioned how such a large amount of money would get through aiprort security, Gavin laughed at this, responding that "they never check".

So many people surrounded Watson at the airport, that they never checked his bag, says Agrizzi.

Smith was head of Correctional Services committee at the time.

ANC applies to cross-examine Agrizzi at state capture commission

The ANC has applied to cross-examine former Bosasa chief operations officer Angelo Agrizzi at the commission of inquiry into state capture.

"The leadership of the ANC has publicly stated that it will, at an appropriate time, present itself to the commission where the ANC will make a full submission that will answer all allegations tabled against it," said ANC spokesperson Dakota Legoete in a statement released on Friday morning.

"Mr Agrizzi's testimony cannot be left unchallenged. We, therefore, cannot wait for a comprehensive submission to the Commission," Legoete added.

Minister of Environmental Affairs, Nomvula Mokonyane, wants to clear her name at the state capture commission inquiry and challenge damning allegations made against her by former Bosasa chief operations officer, Angelo Agrizzi.

During his testimony before commission chairperson Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo, Agrizzi levelled extensive allegations of corruption against several government officials – including Mokonyane.

Agrizzi reiterated allegations on Thursday that the minister received R50 000 a month in cash from Bosasa.

State capture inquiry: Bosasa paid R2.2m for Gillingham's divorce - Agrizzi

Former Bosasa chief operating officer turned whistleblower, Angelo Agrizzi told the Zondo commission of inquiry that R2.2m was paid by the facilities management company towards former correctional services boss Patrick Gillingham's divorce settlement.

Agrizzi was testifying before inquiry chairperson, Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo, on Thursday.

He said CEO Gavin Watson told him to take care of Gillingham's wife because "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned".
