Division one police have booked an unidentified person for stealing the motorcycle of a New Shivpuri resident. In his complaint, 35-year-old Nitin Kumar said on Saturday he had gone to drop his brother at the railway station and parked his vehicle near the railway godown. However, when he returned to the spot after 15 minutes, the bike was missing. On this, the police have registered a case against the unidentified accused under Section 379 (Punishment for theft) of the IPC. Police are yet to identify and arrest the accused.
Man held for illegal sale of liquor
Division 4 police have arrested a person for selling liquor illegally in the city. The accused has been identified as Gopal of Sector 39, Chandigarh Road. Investigating officer Somnath said on Wednesday they were patrolling near Vedh Nath temple and received a tip-off that the accused was selling liquor at his house. The cops then raided his house and recovered as many as 60 liquor bottles of different brands. The police have registered a case under Section 61-01-14 of the Excise Act and arrested Gopal.
