MUMBAI: As the campaign for Lok Sabha elections is gearing up, social media has become another battlefront. The leaders are taking to social media and using Twitter to criticise each other. BJP leader Ashish Shelar tweeted on Thursday morning and targeted all opposition parties and leader. The opposition parties also hit back and tweeted criticism back at Shelar.
Shelar targeted Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) and its chief Raj Thackeray saying ‘all corporators and only MLA’ have left the party. Now the party chief is feeling lonely, so met uncle. But not the real uncle, but the one from Baramati (Sharad Pawar). The uncle gave him a script for speech and said go ahead. Acacia tree of Shivaji Park has bore fruits of Baramati.’
Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) hit back, saying ‘Your game of cricket is only because of Baramati, but keep it in mind that you will be reserve player of the team and we will clean bowl you.’
Shelar’s another tweet targeted NCP and its leader Sharad Pawar, ‘one grandson said grandpa, you contest, another grandson said no I am Parth, I will contest. But the grandfather was most caring about Tai (Supriya Sule). Now there is only fog in front of grandfather.’
NCP leader Dhananjay Munde replied, saying ‘BJP Mumbai chief has been repeatedly cheated by chief minister. He didn’t get ministry. The party asked him to work against Shiv Sena, he worked. After landing him in an awkward position, the party is now telling him to sit with the Shiv Sena.’
Shelar further tweeted against Congress, saying its ‘state president had to create a scene to resign, (after Milind Deora taking over as Mumbai Congress chief). Congress was criticising the Chowkidar, it’s time to save themselves.’
Though, Congress has not replied to this tweet till now.
