Bizman abducted over money dispute

Vadodara: A businessman from Ahmedabad, Dharmendra Parikh, was kidnapped by some persons from Rhino Circle Road in their car, but released after sometime in Sayajigunj.

Parikh told police that he had earlier accompanied some employees of an angadia firm during a financial deal in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra. The angadia firm staff had taken Rs 6.67 crore from the accused and had returned to Ahmedabad. Parikh said he had accompanied the employees only to witness how they deal with the money.


“There was dispute over returning the money. The angadia firm said that the money is with Parikh. At this, the accused zeroed in on Parikh who explained that he doesn’t have the money. On Wednesday, the accused met Parikh and after discussions, they kidnapped him,” said Jaydeepsinh Jadeja, DCP (crime). The accused took Parikh towards railway station road and then turned to MS University campus road.


“We immediately alerted our teams and erected pickets across the city. The accused got alarmed and let Parikh off after he shouted for help from inside the car,” Jadeja added. The duo Jitumal Panchariya, a resident of Maharashtra and Nandkishor Panchalfrom Rajasthan, were caught by Anand police.
