A married father and ice addict has been banned from public transport for two years after masturbating in front of passengers on busy commuter trains.
Joel Peter Parfitt, 31, pleaded guilty to five counts of indecent acts at Southport Magistrates Court on Thursday after he was caught pleasuring himself on Gold Coast and Brisbane trains between October 4 and January 20.
The court heard that in one incident, Parfitt had been touching himself 'vigorously' over and underneath his clothing in front of women and children.
On another occasion on January 20, he boarded a Coomera train around 11am and sat near a woman before he almost immediately began to rub himself in front of her.

The court heard Parfitt 'began rubbing his penis through his pants pocket whilst looking across and locking eyes with her,' the Courier Mail reported.
The woman said she had been listening to music but could hear Parfitt moaning and later saw him 'put his hand down his pants and continued rubbing his penis.'
Prosecutors told the court Parfitt's victims had felt 'violated' and some even feared he would sexually assault them.
One woman was reported to have broken down in tears after fleeing the train after witnessing Parfitt's indecent behaviour.
The Pimpama man was finally tracked down by police after he was caught on CCTV footage.

Parfitt appeared in court on Thursday where he was seen hanging his head in shame alongside his wife.
His lawyer, Victoria Ward said he was 'embarrassed' and 'remorseful' of his actions.
She said her client, who has a history of drug addiction, stealing, and fraud, does not recall the incidents due to his drug use.
Parfitt had been unemployed and on parole at the time of his offences.
He was sentenced to four months in prison after serving 58 days and eligible for parole.
