PATNA: All is not well in RJD supremo Lalu Prasad’s family. His elder son and former health minister Tej Pratap Yadav on Thursday not only demanded Jehanabad and Sheohar Lok Sabha seats to be given to the candidates of his choice, later he also resigned from the post of Chhatra RJD patron and through tweet challenged people not to undermine him.
“Nadaan hain wo log jo mujhe nadaan samajhte hain. Kaun kitne pani me hai mujhe pata hai,” tweeted Tej Pratap. Though he had called for a press conference at RJD’s office in afternoon to announce the candidature of Angesh Singh from Sheohar and Chandra Prakash from Jehanabad constituencies, he did not turn up in front of media. Rather he took use of social media platform to express his anger announcing his resignation from the post RJD student wing patron.
While talking to a section of media in the morning, Tej said he has appraised his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav regarding two candidates of his choice- Angesh and Chandra. “I have made my appeal to my Arjun (here Tejashwi). I will make announcement in this regard in the PC,” Tej had said earlier. He also denied the rumor of forming another party.
This is not for the first time such political drama is happening in Lalu’s family. Tej had in November previous year left his home after not getting his family support in seeking divorce from Aishwarya Rai, grand-daughter of former chief minister Daroga Rai. He went missing for almost four weeks cutting out of political affairs. He then made his comeback in politics by holding Janta Darbar at RJD office from December 24.
