Narreddy Suneetha, daughter of the slain former MP Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy, on Wednesday alleged that attempts being made by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to protect Minister D. Adinarayana Reddy were raising doubts about his involvement.
Addressing media in Hyderabad, Ms. Suneetha said despite a written complaint against Mr. Adinarayana Reddy the police had not questioned him till now. The Chief Minister was trying to protect him by blaming members of her family, she alleged. There was a nexus between Mr. Adinarayana Reddy and K. Parameshwara Reddy. The two hatched a plan to eliminate her father who was a very big obstacle to Mr. Adinarayana Reddy being re-elected, she alleged.
She said her father was very popular in Jammalamadugu right from when he was elected as an MP because he spent most of his funds in that Assembly constituency.
He had strong relations with Jammalamadugu leaders at various levels.
The second objective of the gruesome murder was to “create fear in the people of the constituency and chaos in the YSRCP,” she said.
The SIT had interrogated all her family members and associates of her father but had not yet come out with its findings. She said the prolonged investigation was causing tremendous pain to her and her family members.
