TENALI (GUNTUR): Charging that the state government had completely failed to improve the infrastructure in Tenali town, former assembly speaker and Jana Sena candidate Nadendla Manohar has alleged that the ruling party leaders targeted the poor in the constituency for not backing its illegal activities.
Manohar on Thursday visited 13,15, 16, 32,33 and 34 divisions of the town and met people. Locals shared their grievances and told Manohar that they were deliberately ignored by the government as the ruling party leaders thought that they were not their voters.
“It was shocking to hear that government works only for a few. People were pained at not being treated as equal,” said Manohar.
He wondered that Tenali town had not witnessed any growth in the last five years in spite of being so close to the capital city Amaravati.
“Development in Tenali town has come to a grinding halt as the local legislator is not keen on its growth. He neither completed the pending projects nor launched any new projects,” chided Manohar. He said that people were panicked about spread of diseases as the government had failed to complete even the side drains in the town.
Manohar appealed people to support Jana Sena in the coming elections to realise their dreams. He said that Pawan Kalyan is going to be the next chief minister who would be the commoners’ champion.
