Appealing to the voters to bless
Trinamool Congress for Bengal “to show the entire nation the way towards unmitigated development and prosperity”,
Mamata Banerjee, Bengal chief minister and TMC supremo said, in her party’s manifesto, that TMC and other Opposition parties, through a common minimum programme, are committed to form a “people’s government” in Delhi .
The manifesto, released on Wednesday , has a national approach and it also reflects Banerjee’s national aspiration. Banerjee demanded a court monitored probe into
demonetisation , an immediate review of GST structure by an expert committee and said that she would travel to Kashmir , stay there and talk to people to resolve Kashmir issues.
Claiming that the country is going through a “crucial time” at this moment, she , in her appeal said, “ these elections are vital for the country not only from the political point of view, but also for building a strong future for the nation. This Lok Sabha election could majorly determine the way the country is presented to the next generation. These things can be said with conviction because in the past 5 years, we have witnessed a completely different India, thanks to the ruling party BJP.”
From demanding a judicial probe into demonetisation to simplifying GST , Banerjee’s manifesto has been drafted to address national voters and not only the electorate in Bengal.
