A Division Bench of Justices N. Kirubakaran and S.S. Sundar on Thursday observed that it would be appropriate for retired District Judge K. Guruviah to be withdrawn as the Administrator of Paramakudi Yadavar Sangam election after it was informed that he was contesting the Lok Sabha election and was nominated by Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) for Nagapattinam (reserved) constituency.
It is said that the court-appointed Administrator K. Guruviah had informed the same to the High Court Bench. Earlier, the court had appointed K. Guruviah as the Administrator to conduct the elections to the Paramakudi Yadavar Sangam of Ramanathapuram. The court had appointed the Administrator to conduct the election to elect office-bearers to the sangam after it was informed that a meeting held on deciding the same was marred by violence.
