tnn | Mar 29, 2019, 04:52 ISTNagpur: The Nagpur University (NU) late on Thursday evening released the revised timetable for 298 examinations affected due to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Vidarbha on April 11. Earlier, the tally was pegged at 200, which was finalized at 298, including some more exams which have been shifted due to reasons other than elections.
The NU had decided to reschedule exams from April 10, 11 and 12, since its exam centres would be taken over as polling booths while most of the university staff would be deployed in election duties.
Most of the affected exams would be conducted soon after the last paper of that particular course in April itself. Some exam schedules would stretch till May 12. NU officials said some are spilling in to May. They said care has been taken to ensure exam for popular courses end in April itself. In some case, exams would be help on Sundays.
A 16-page revised list has been uploaded on the NU website.
Earlier, the prolonged wait had left students anxious about their future plans. Though the election schedule was announced on March 10, NU took two weeks to release new dates.
