Naman Nitin Mukesh inspired by Leonardo Dicaprio for ‘Bypass Road’

Neil Nitin Mukesh’s younger brother Naman, who is making his directorial debut with Bypass Road, took inspiration from his cinematic role model Leonardo DiCaprio for the action sequences in the film. 

Neil Nitin Mukesh and Adah Sharma are playing the lead protagonists in the film. It also stars Gul Panag (who plays the antagonist), Sudhanshu Pandey, Shama Sikander and Rajit Kapur.

Naman Nitin Mukesh states, “I have literally grown up watching Leonardo DiCaprio films and from a reference perspective for my debut film, I was inspired by the high octane and emotionally layered drama I’ve seen in his films and especially Shutter Island.” 

He adds, “To me, in a lot of ways, Neil resembles Leonardo and hence he was my first choice as the lead protagonist of the film. In spite of shooting a 50-day hectic action schedule for Saaho, Neil opted to not use a body double and performed  most of the stunts on his own for this particular sequence. I was an assistant director on Race 2 but with Bypass Road, it’s a whole new gamut for me and I’m loving every bit of it.”

NNM Films and Madan Paliwal of MIRAJ will jointly produce the thriller drama written by Neil Nitin Mukesh.
