Shailesh Lodha confirms Dayaben’s return to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah
Popular TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah witnessed a big blow when its iconic character Dayaben, played by Disha Vakani, left it to focus on her family and new-born baby. Fans of the show were very dishearted that they won’t be able to hear the dialogue ‘hey maa, mataji’ ever again. However, actor Shailesh Lodha, who plays the role of Tarak Mehta has finally shed some light on the return of Dayaben's character in the show.
Shailesh Lodha recently attended an award function where he was asked about the show as well as Dayaben's comeback on the show, he revealed that she will surely return, and added "patience ka phal daya hota hai (patience pays off)." Earlier it was stated that Disha Vakani has permanently said her goodbyes to the show because of her differences with the makers. Now, this statement comes as a happy news for all the Dayaben’s fans.
Reports also suggests that Disha Vakani has been given a notice period of 30 days to return to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, post which it will be declared that she has left the show and will be replaced. A source close to the show had earlier informed SpotBoye.com about producer Asit Modi's decision and said, "Bas, ab ho gaya. Modi waited ethically how much he and his cast-crew could. Now, Modi says he will just give a concession period of a month, starting today. There has been absolutely no contact between the two parties ever since Dayaben's last day at shoot. Team Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has no problems if she wants to look after her baby but some of her demands that they would imply if she was to return, were just not easy to accept when her husband last has a word with us."
Disha has been missing from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah since October, 2017. In the show, it is shown that she has gone to stay at her mother's house in Ahmedabad. Considering it is a popular sitcom, many viewers have demanded Disha's return to the show. The source further added, "Seems, Disha wanted to hanker for a bit of publicity in the media. So, she put a some throwback video. Toh dekhte hain kya hota hai. We will still welcome her warmly if she returns without unacceptable do's and don'ts. Else we are going ahead with another actress after 30 days, max 35."
