Nominations of 12 out of 26 candidates for Thanjavur Parliamentary constituency were accepted by Returning Officer and Collector A.Annadurai after the scrutiny process on Wednesday.
Similarly, the nominations of 14 candidates out of 21 for by-elections to Thanjavur Assembly segment were accepted as valid after scrutiny by Returning Officer and Revenue Divisional Officer, Thanjavur, C. Suresh.
In Tiruvarur, a total of 28 persons filed their nomination papers for by-elections to the Assembly constituency out of which 20 were accepted as valid after scrutiny.
