Javid Mustafa Mir, a former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) legislator and ex-minister, joined IAS topper Shah Faesal's political party, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM), in Srinagar on Wednesday.

Mr. Mir joined the JKPM in the presence of Mr. Faesal and other members, said the party spokesman. Mr. Mir represented the Chadoora Assembly constituency in central Kashmir's Budgam district for three successive terms from 2002 and resigned from the PDP in January this year.
