PUNE: Khar Gymkhana and The Ball Hogz edged their opponents to make it to the last sixteen at the 13th PYC-ATC Snooker Challenge organized by PYC Hindu Gymkhana in co-operation with Deccan Gymkhana Club.

Mumbai team Khar Gymkhana scored a 2-1 win over SRK Masters with a superb display from Rishabh Thakkar who edged out Mohammed Salman 35-14, 10-62, 38-14, 75-42), while LCSA scored a 2-0 win over Auto Pots.

The Ball Hogz out potted Poona Club ‘A’ 2-1 to make it to the next round. After Aditya’s win, Loukik Pathare of The Ball Hogz lost to Vignesh Sanghvi to level scores, but Rohan Sakalkar scored a 35-22, 32-67, 33-24, 70-22 win over Suraj Rathi to take his team into the last sixteen. 

In other matches Q Club Warriors, LCSA, MP Strikers, KSBA, BSAA Masters and Corner Pocket Shooters scored identical 2-0 wins over Fire Balls, Auto Pots, Corner Pocket Tigers, KVD Squad, PYC Giants and Cue Masters ‘A’.
