When Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was addressing a public meeting from atop a van at Yemmiganuru on Wednesday, he spotted an elderly woman in the audience. Mr. Naidu asked her to come on top of the vehicle. He then enquired if she was happy with the pension being given by the State government. Replying in the affirmative, the woman said her children never took care of her the way Mr. Naidu did. The Chief Minister then claimed that many elderly people were getting pension, due to which they regained their self-respect.
