9 Parts of the New Twilight Zone Trailer That Are Already Giving Us Nightmares

As if the world didn't already feel off enough right about now, a new extended trailer for Jordan Peele's The Twilight Zone reboot for CBS All Access is here, and it is quite possibly the freakiest glimpse we've gotten at this show yet.

In addition to introducing some new footage -- which gives us a first look at a few guest stars we haven't seen in previous trailers -- it also contains some very upsetting imagery that's guaranteed to invite a few new nightmares.

Everything We Know About Jordan Peele's The Twilight Zone Reboot

Let's break down a few of the most unsettling moments from this new trailer, shall we?

First of all, we're introduced to whatever this fresh hell of a lab wheel is.

It's hard to tell who the unfortunate woman in the orange jumpsuit is here, but we're sure glad not to be her in his cruel adaptation of a hamster toy. Later in the trailer, we get a glimpse of the poor lady being jabbed in the back by some kind of metal hose device, and then the camera pans to her pained expression to introduce nightmare fodder No. 2 ...

Then there's this shot, which feels terrifyingly meta.

The TV has been broken but there are a ton of tiny TVs within it, which has to be some kind of tongue-in-cheek statement about the rise of streaming, right? Add in the very prototypically scary fuzzy screen thing -- times 10 -- and, yeah, that's a disturbing sight all right.

There's also this raving loon doing a shotgun dance.

This shot of Taissa Farmiga and Luke Kirby's's characters shows the pair standing under some string lights while they and the households in the background seem to be otherwise leaning on candlelight. They look petrified as a brighter light passes overhead, and, since we already know this is gonna be an Easter eggstravaganza of a reboot here, we have to wonder if this episode will call back to the iconic "The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street" episode that so inspired Jordan Peele. Sure looks like it, and if so ... we're already shaking.

And we of course object to whatever's making Ginnifer Goodwin's face look like this.

In short, the new trailer has us sufficiently freaked out (again) and ready for this show. The first two episodes of the all-new Twilight Zone will premiere on CBS All Access on Monday, April 1, with new episodes to follow each week on Thursdays, starting on April 11.
