Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao on Wednesday hit out against the Centre and the Election Commission of India after the latter transferred Additional Director General of Police, Intelligence, A.B Venkateswara Rao and SPs of Kadapa Rahul Dev Sharma and Srikakulum Venkata Ratnam.
Stating that the action to transfer top cops as ‘unilateral’ Dr. Rao said that it was unfortunate that the ECI had decided to take action on the basis of a complaint given by YSRCP MP Y. Vijay Sai Reddy and said that the decisions were taken with a view to help YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi is destroying institutions which have been built over years. Look at what happened to Indira Gandhi who tried to install a government when NTR was chief minister, and Mr. Modi will be taught a lesson too,” Dr. Rao said. He also added that Mr. Modi has been instigating the Central agencies to conduct raids on leaders belonging to the TDP.
He also attacked Mr. Jagan stating that latter is getting active support from TRS and called upon people to teach a befitting lesson to the YSRCP.
