LUDHIANA: Mahesh Sharma, the district president of Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) has lodged a complaint against Ludhiana Municipal Corporation officials with the chief election officer of the district.
In his complaint, Sharma alleged that officials working with the civic body for the past many years, can help the ruling party in managing the election results.
Sharma said these officials are enjoying postings at same office for a long time with the support of the ruling party leaders.
Sharma said local bodies minister Navjot Sidhu always talks about honesty but even he is ignoring all these things.
He said there is only one post of secretary in the civic body but four are appointed without any reason.
He demanded transfer of these officials with immediate effect so that free and fair elections could be conducted.
