The tourism sector of Saudi Arabia is all geared up to grow in the coming months as the Kingdom carries on its efforts in developing its archaeological and natural sites, along with building new tourism-centric projects. Besides, the SCTH is giving licenses to private museums across the country, and Saudi Arabia is working at the same time on the rules and regulations of different visa categories that will let the tourists from around the world to visit the Kingdom specifically for tourism purposes.
By now, Saudi Arabia has introduced couple of short-term special visas for tourists since 2018. This week, the cabinet of the Kingdom approved electronic visas for foreign visitors, attending sporting events and concerts. Also, reports claim that the country is preparing to offer visa-free access to its non-religious tourism sites to visitors from the United States, Europe, China, and Japan, and in 2018, 14-day e-visas were issued, letting motor racing fanatics to travel to Saudi Arabia to watch Saudia Ad Diriyah E-Prix.
