6-year-old girl molested in Chandkheda

AHMEDABAD: A six-year-old girl was allegedly molested by a 19-year-old man in Chandkheda area of the city on Sunday morning.
The incident occurred when the girl went to a nearby shop from her house to buy wafers. The accused was standing at the shop and he asked the girl that he would buy some more wafer packets if she talks for a while with him. As the girl got convinced, he took him to a place near the shop and molested her.
However, one of the locals of the area saw the man molesting the girl and nabbed him. Later, police were informed about the incident and the cops rushed to the spot to begin investigation.
Officials of Chandkheda police did not divulge further details of the case stating that they had orders from their superiors not to divulge name of the accused as well.
Police have filed a case of molestation and also under charges of POCSO (Protection of Children against Sexual Offences) and began an investigation.
