PCB arrests two for looting citizen

Vadodara: Over a month after they looted a citizen under Lalbaug bridge, the prevention of crime branch (PCB) arrested two persons. The accused told the police that they had accosted a man under Lalbaug bridge last month and beaten him up. The accused then looted his mobile phone and Rs 4,000 cash from the man who had later approached the Navapura police.

The police said that the accused identified as Sajid Khan Pathan, a resident of Navapura and Abid Sheikh, a resident of Panigate, had threatened the complainant and looted him. The PCB has seized two mobile phones and Rs 4,000 cash from the duo. “We are investigating if the accused duo is involved in any more such crimes,” the police said.
