Married At First Sight's Mike Gunner has made no secret of the fact he's undergone scalp micropigmentation, a cosmetic procedure better known as a 'hair tattoo'.

And it recently emerged that the 44-year-old electrician had actually booked in for the procedure just weeks before filming his television debut. 

Around two-and-a-half weeks ago, Gold Coast clinic Hairline Solutions shared several photos of Mike before and after his hair tattoo to Instagram.

'Mike had his SMP treatment done by Aaron at Hairline Solutions in August 2018, just prior to the commencement of filming,' read the caption. 

'We had been recommended to Mike by one of his close friends who'd also received a treatment from Aaron.'

Earlier this month, after weeks of speculation, Mike confirmed he'd undergone the procedure during an interview with Nova 96.9's Fitzy & Wippa.  

'Someone has rung us and told us that you've had the tattoo done on the top of your head,' radio host Ryan 'Fitzy' Fitzgerald said.

Mike danced around the question for a while before eventually coming clean, saying: 'But how good do I look?!'

Fitzy, who is also bald, then joked that he too had considered having scalp micropigmentation.

Mike jovially offered to recommend a good hair tattooist, saying: 'I've got a great guy! I’ll put you in touch.'
