Award for Ramco Cements

The Ramco Cements has won Excellent Corporate Governance Award and its Ariyalur unit won gold medal in Indian Green Manufacturing Challenge organised by International Research Institute for Manufacturing. The company’s Ariyalur unit is the only unit in whole of South India to receive the gold medal. Its units at RR Nagar, Jayanthipuram and Alathiyur won silver medals. Out of 300 applications received, only 58 units were selected for assessment, of which 30 awards were given – 6 gold, 17 silver and 7 special awards were given away, according to a statement.
