The Aam Admi Party on Sunday termed it foolish for a ‘Hindu nationalist party’ to claim the Nazi symbol as their own, following complaints by the BJP that Hindu sentiments have been hurt by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s tweet of a man with a broom chasing a swastika.

Twitter war

Demanding strong action against the CM, Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta said, through the tweet, Mr. Kejirwal had hurt the sentiments of millions of Hindus and was guilty of gross violation of the code of conduct.

In a tweet on Sunday, AAP said “Arvind Kejriwal took a potshot at Hitler’s Nazi symbol but why is BJP so offended? Got confused between Hitler and Modi ? Don’t worry even we don’t find much difference between the two” tweeted AAP on Sunday.

Demands apology

In a statement, the party said “..BJP should apologise to Hindus for relating them to Germany’s Hitler and for trying to take a cheap shot at Delhi CM.”
