Cape Town - Congratulations accompanied by hilarious memes flooded in after Bafana Bafana qualified for the African Cup of Nations in Egypt after a vital away win over Libya.

Percy Tau scored a brace to lead Bafana Bafana to a historic 2-1 win over Libya at the Stade Taïeb Mhiri stadium in Sfax, Tunisia on Sunday.

Tau broke the deadlock after 50 minutes with a snap shot before Libya equalised with a Benali penalty in the 65th but the visitors restored their lead three minutes later when Tau fired in a shot from the left to ensure his country progressed.

Congratulations to Stuart Baxter's side flooded in on social media after the final whistle with fellow players, coaches and fans praising their impressive result.
