To help students during their examinations, CBSE has come up with digital initiatives such as Digilocker, Know Your Aptitude (KYA), the Shiksha Vani app and more, assisting them 'virtually' at every step. Students and academicians share their opinion

Accessible Education

Digital initiatives are beneficial for the candidates appearing for exams, as they help students and parents to find academic support anytime and anywhere. Online platforms launched by the CBSE has increased the education outreach in the interiors. These initiatives are helpful in reducing the stress level through online counselling, offering adequate guidance and helping students understand viable career choices.

Easy to track information

After conducting various counselling sessions related to stress management and time management, we have also introduced apps in our school. Shiksha Vani app has helped students avail real-time information about their board examinations and other updates. Now, they can easily track any new update through their smartphones.

Offer equal opportunity

Many students from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), who earlier could not afford professional career counselling after class XII can now through the help of various digital platforms get information on an array of career options to choose from. The new compendium released by the CBSE contains a list of courses to pursue after class XII, can help students in figuring out the new courses and get the list of institutes offering them. Also, platforms like Digilocker ease the process of safeguarding official certificates including marksheets. These documents can be retrieved online whenever needed.

Reduces anxiety

As I was appearing for my class XII boards this year, I found the Exam Locator app to be very useful. Through the app, I could easily find the location of my exam centre, which helped me save time and saved me the anxiousness of finding the best route to reach there. The other initiatives like the podcast, are also helpful as they offer students a one-stop solution to track all updates. They do not have to worry about missing on any new information.
