New Delhi, A day after he was denied ticket for Patna Sahib seat, Bollywood actor and BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha on Sunday took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his slogan of ‘Congress Mukt Bharat’ and said that now is the right time for ‘Congress Yukt Bharat’ (an India, which has Congress in every particle).
In a series of tweets, Shatrughan also termed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s attack on ‘Dynastic rule’ as a sign of desperation. He said like his promise of a ‘Congress-Mukt Bharat’; his other promises, like that of ‘Smart Cities,’ had ‘gone with the wind’.
‘Sirji, I believe you are desperately looking for and raising your voice against #Vanshwaad in Congress. Why are you being so desperate? You just need to first look around your own people & alliance parties. Every party is full of so called ‘Vanshwaad’…like in your own party in MP, Rajasthan, Maharashtra…& in most of your alliances too.
‘By the way Sir, what happened to your promise of #CongressMuktBharat? Also gone with the wind like ‘Smart Cities’ & other promises?! Don’t worry Sir, it’s now right time for #CongressYuktBharat,’ he added.
The comments come a day after Shatrughan was denied a ticket by BJP from Patna Sahib, from where he is a sitting MP.He was replaced by Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.
